THE HEART
OF TOSCANA

Querceto di Castellina is ideally situated equidistant from Florence and Siena, two prime destination cities in the world-famous Tuscany region.

Quietly tucked away in the Tuscan countryside, the estate is a bit of a hidden gem but is closely surrounded by medieval hilltop villages and historical towns.

Querceto is also in the center of the Chianti Classico – the oldest and considered the most genuine wine-producing area in the Chianti region – right between the Sienese towns of Castellina and Radda in Chianti.

Chianti Classico is a DOCG wine and one of the best-known and appreciated types of wines produced in Tuscany. You can always clearly identify a bottle of Chianti Classico by the iconic Black Rooster seal, the symbol of the Consortium of the Chianti Classico.

CHIANTI CLASSICO

In 2016 the Chianti Classico celebrated its 300th anniversary. Back in 1716 the Grand Duke Cosimo III defined the borders of the areas particularly well-suited to craft high quality wines with Castellina in Chianti, Radda and Gaiole being the original three villages included in this historical winemaking area.

The ideal setting and location

Breathtakingly picturesque in its setting, Querceto is also perfectly positioned between the two leading cities of Tuscany - Florence and Siena. We're just a short drive from San Gimignano and a number of smaller medieval towns and cities that are a defining feature of the landscape in the region.
