OUR VINEYARDS
“A great wine is made on the vine” , a phrase as used as it is truthful; it is for this reason that the restructuring of the company started with the study of the characteristics of our land and the varieties which better express the Querceto terrain.
The total extension of the vineyards covers 11 hectares, at between 420 and 450 m a.s.l., all registered with the Chianti Classico docg registry. The earth is of medium marly calcareous mix, and highly skeletal. The vine system varies: the distance between the rows varies from 2,00 to 2,80 metres, whilst the plants on the row vary from 0,75 to 0,80 cm. All the vines are cultivated using the “cordone speronato” system.
